Halloween Haunted Mansion wedding at the Disneyland Resort

I had been dreaming of photographing a Disneyland wedding since I photographed my first wedding back in 2008. Being an annual pass holder for years and a wedding photographer, I knew that one day my two loves would cross.

When Rachel asked me to photograph her and Curtis' wedding at the Disneyland resort I nearly jumped out of my seat. And what made it even more awesome? Curtis and Rachel were getting married in their favorite place and on their favorite holiday: Halloween.

A small wedding in Disneyland on Halloween? YES PLEASE.

Halloween time is my favorite time of year at the Disneyland resort. This was an absolute dream wedding and I said YES so quickly I think I might have been begging her to hire me. I didn't care about the six-hour drive I just wanted to be a part of it so badly!

Their wedding was small and intimate. It allowed them to spend quality time with all the people they loved that made the journey out to the Disneyland resort to celebrate with them. I loved watching the couple as well as their family and friends are silly, fun, and enjoy the day without the stresses of a larger scale wedding. Curtis showing up to the altar with a baby Groot on his shoulder was so freaking cute!

At the end of the night, we were able to get into the park for some sunset photos in the park! While it was incredibly crowded, it didn't stop us from getting photographs that I know Rachel and Curtis treasure deeply.
Shout out to the Cast Members at Disneyland for not only letting us have the once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity in front of the Haunted Mansion… but also letting us skip the line and ride it right after!
